Yay! It is our Halloween episode! This year The Gals decided to keep it a bit more low key than in pervious years so they have done a single episode and chose to focus more on Day of The Dead celebrations and sugar skulls. This is a really fun episode and we hope you enjoy it.

Yay! The Gals are back with another episode! Weeee! They are talking about dimensional fiber art and they are pretty excitable about the subject (and just recording an episode in general). There is tons of laughter and an absurd amount of dick jokes. It is a great episode! Pay attention at the beginning as there is a pretty big show announcement.

In this week’s episode of Two Artsy Gals Katie and Loni learn about art therapy and talk about how their art is therapeutic to them. There is much discussion about inappropriate fiber arts and genitalia this week… so you know, same old crazy shit.

Yay! The Gals are back with another episode for your busy summer earholes! We saw the eclipse here in Oregon last week so Katie and Loni open the show with some discussion about that cool experience and then jump right into telling us about Pour Painting. Yay! Katie and Loni are back from their vacations and had a lot of catching up to do this week so our intro is extra long with vacation stuff and sidebars. Once The Gals get caught up they have a fun conversation about all things markers. Learn about different kinds of markers, their potential uses, and how to best care for your markers.

This episode was recorded a few days before The Gals left for their summer vacations so Katie and Loni had travel plans on the brain. Which is a good thing because the subject this week is about cool ways to display our awesome vacation memories in shadow boxes.

The Gals are pumped about their summer plans and once they calm the eff down about what they have going on for the rest of the summer, they get into Free Art Friday. They get into the idea of leaving free art around the places you are vacationing this summer and plan where they could leave the little pieces of art on their vacations and what kind of art would be best to leave in each place.

We are deep into summer now and everyone is going on vacations so The Gals thought it would be nice to talk about travel art kits. Sure, you could probably find some overpriced junk to buy, but why do that when you can have so much fun getting creative with your own DIY kit that has everything YOU need in it? This is a great talk and of course The Gals do plenty of topic hopping and crazy sidebarring.

In their first ever swap episode The Gals talk Altered Cabinet Cards! If you want to see the cards they swapped and the progression photos Katie did, make sure to check out twoartsygals.com. The intro to this one is extra long… The Gals hadn’t seen each other in a while so there was some catching up to do.

Last week The Gal’s gave you tips about sewing with knits in preparation for their upcycling challenge. This week they talk about their experience at the Goodwill Bins and give you tips for shopping in such a cutthroat environment. They set the rules for their upcycling challenge and talk about what they might do with some of the items they found. This is such a fun episode!

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

Subscribe_with_itunes

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:
Itunes_ss

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Itunes_ss2

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!
